THE SHOW

With the economic crash lots of firms and companies got closed down, or substantially reduced. Among them there are also Polish Ship Yards - the historical enterprises which had their big influence on revolution 1989 in Poland. The workers are unemployed and looking for job. The performance shows a hypothetical situation in which shipbuilders send themselves in a big container into the world - looking for a better life, new experience, happiness...
All of sudden citizens of the city find the container standing right there - in the middle of their town, playing sentimental music. What's inside? Where did it come from? Why is it there?
6 shipbuilders are coming to find the sense of life, and interrupt your existence ...

The performance takes ap. 3-4 hours, it doesn't indicate it's start, or stop. The spectators are welcome to join in any moment of the show.

Performance at The International Street Theater Festival in Arkangielsk (Russia)

W związku z kryzysem ekonomicznym wiele firm ulega likwidacji, bądź znacznej redukcji. Między nimi są polskie stocznie- symbol przemian 1989r. Robotnicy tracą pracę i szukają nowej. Spektakl zakłada hipotetyczną sytuację, w której stoczniowcy wysyłają się w kontenerze w świat- szukając lepszego życia, nowych doświadczeń, szczęścia...
Niespodziewanie mieszkańcy miasta zauważają kontener, z którego dobiega sentymentalna muzyka, stojący w centrum miasta. Co jest w środku? Skąd się wziął? Dlaczego tam stoi?
Sześciu stoczniowców przybywa w poszukiwaniu sensu życia, robiąc wyłom w codziennej rzeczywistości.

Spektakl trwa 3-4godziny nie mając wyraźnego początku, ani końca. Widzowie mogą dołączyć w każdej chwili.

6 shipbuilders hang around the container. They question spectators were would they like to go to - what do they dream about - Venice, Paris, Chinese wall, desert island? They make appointments for the following days. The next days spectators are being invited inside of the container, which is arranged as a small tv studio. Everyone can sit at the front of a background with a location of one's desire, and with the technical means, will be filmed on it, as if he/she was really there. The only task is to tell few worlds to the friends, or relatives from the hypothetical journey. Everything is recorded on the camera, and can be heard outside the container. At the last day the container transformes into a cinema. The results of the imaginary journey are screened.

Stoczniowcy, zapraszają mieszkańców do kontenera, umożliwiając im podróż w inny wymiar. Wewnątrz zamontowane jest studio telewizyjne. Każdy może wybrać sobie tło, na którym chce wystąpić. Do wyboru są znane miejsca turystycznych pielgrzymek - Wenecja, Lizbona, Nowy Jork, Rio de Janeiro, itd. Każdy z zaproszonych do kontenera gości jest nagrywany na jego tle, jedyne zadanie to pozdrowić znajomych, swoje miasto, krewnych - przekazać im wiadomość z miejsca, do którego zawsze chciało się pojechać. W tym prostym geście “Stoczniowcy” realizują marzenia innych o dalekiej podróży w nieznane. Ostatniego dnia spektaklu kontener zamienia się w kino, w którym wyświetlane są wszystkie filmy nagrane w dniach poprzednich.
